Getting to know us 04/27/07 11:40:43 AM
| Haverkamp Brothers consists of Alan, Mark, Robert, and Leon Haverkamp, four oldest brothers in a family of eleven children. The brothers, with the help of their parents (Bob and Janice) and some good neighbors, began renting land and raising feeder pigs in the late 1970’s in northern Nemaha county, near the Nebraska line. Today the farm has grown to involve production from over 5,000 sows. The management and care of this employs over forty dedicated employees and twenty owner-contractors.

| In 2004, Haverkamp Bros. took another shot at diversification in the livestock business. Neal, the fifth brother in the family, was working for Haverkamp Bros. Inc., and operating his own cow-calf herd with an emphasis on registered Angus. As his cattle herd grew, the need for all of us to join in some sort of partnership grew. In order to accomplish this, another entity was formed. This business is known as Nemaha Valley Angus and is a five way partnership between the five brothers involving the cow-calf operation and the former row crop farming side of Haverkamp Bros. Inc.
